Molly Malone's is one of those rare places that is an historic LA institution AND has held up its charm as a familiar neighborhood bar. It feels like a 'locals' spot without any pretension. You can walk in here without knowing anyone and feel welcomed and right at home. And you can really feel the history here, with the beautiful, original paintings of beloved regulars on the walls. The bartenders are some of the best people you'll meet in LA. Molly's is the best!

P.S. if you want a really 'effective' drink, ask for a Rays Bomb.

Stopped in a few months back when I was in LA. Needed a cold beer and this place was nearby. It was after lunch and the place was basically empty. But the beer was very cold and the service was quick, although it was just one guy working the bar and kitchen.

We did not eat, but the food looked decent. This is a good spot if you want to hang out with some friends and family and grab a cold beer on a hot day.

Pre or Post Lacma Fall Jazz series spot for us! The dimly lit space with a warm wood interior, spacious bar and full kitchen is a special kind of gem. Reminds me of the San Francisco days when it rained and you unexpectedly found yourself taking shelter in one of these cozy pubs. It is from another era, and for that should be enjoyed as is. We sure did. Having our fill of wine and niceties, took a short walk over from the museum for a corner table chat and nightcap. It was perfect.

Pretty awesome, cheap drinks and fun. Wish they had darts for the dart board... it's definitely a dive bar but the drinks are really good it's not like they only have beer. It's in a good location there's quite a few other bars right around that you can just walk to so you might as well just take a little pitstop here
